Sage Counselling
“Vulnerability is the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, courage, empathy, and creativity. It is the source of hope, empathy, accountability, and authenticity. If we want greater clarity in our purpose or deeper and more meaningful spiritual lives, vulnerability is the path.”

About
Amanda Alward
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor. I am a Northern Tutchone part of the wolf clan from Carmack’s Yukon. I take a holistic approach to healing and growth. I help people tap into their own inner resources and resilience. I combine a number of trauma-informed approaches such as Somatic Experiencing, EDMR, CBT and Compassion focused forms of therapy. We are not meant to just survive this life but we are made to thrive. We all often just need a safe space to feel heard and seen so we can acknowledge and release whatever is holding us back in life. If you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed or just ready for a new chapter in your life feel free to reach out and we can make a plan together.
Services
I am currently just offering individual adult and adolescent remote counselling over the phone or zoom.
Individual Therapy
This is a space just for you. Where you can feel heard, understood and validated in your experience. I hold a compassionate container for you to reveal and heal any parts of you that need support and understanding.
Remote
With remote counselling, you get to be in the comfort of your own home. Being in a space that feels familiar and safe can help with opening up. It also means you don't have to rush back into the world after but can take time to integrate.
Specializations
I operate from a trauma-informed lens. I also help people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, burnout, substance abuse and different life transitions and challenges. I also help people create new routines and healthy habits that can boost your well-being and happiness.
